Something has Changed

The morning seems same,

frenzied and lame.

The usual chores,

and then some more.

The cold winter breeze,

a hazy morning,

People striding by 

ladened with their dreams

I too am crossing the same paths,

the usual chores

and then some more,

the same frenzy

and the same course.

But, the sun seems a little brighter,

the wind seems a little more soothing,

the heart seems a little more filled

with joy and love.

Instilled with gratitude,

I feel something has changed,

the mind is free,

the heart is lighter.

Quiet beneath the chaos,

I have found my peace.
